Julia & Glenn Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

I went down to the Newport Beach LDS Temple a few days before the wedding and the conditions were perfect for our wedding film pre-shoot. Julia had blind-folded Glenn when they met up with each other that afternoon and kept him blindfolded until the cameras were rolling, so what you see here in the beginning of the film is Glenn seeing his beautiful bride for the first time in her wedding dress. It was a very special moment for all of us.

This film, from the footage to the song, has a very romantic and beautiful feel to it. Enjoy!

Ericka & Court Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

Last month I got to spend a Saturday at the most amazing location, The Hummingbird Nest Ranch Mansion in Simi Valley, California, with two awesome people that became great friends of mine within the past few years. Of course I was honored to fly down to film for them and once again work with William Innes from William Innes Photography.

Ericka and Court… what can I say other than “Wow! What a fantastic looking couple!!!” Days like this make being a wedding videographer even more cool than it usually is (which is pretty cool)!

Kate & Taylor Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

I’ve been making these Temple Wedding Films for over ten years now, and yesterday I filmed at the Salt Lake Temple for the first time. In fact, it was the first time I’ve done a video in the great state of Utah.

An absolutely beautiful day, a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, and two happy families made for an awesome afternoon at Temple Square.

Tiffany & Jared Wedding & Reception Film from on Vimeo.

I filmed for Tiffany’s brother earlier this year at the San Diego Temple, and was honored to head this time to the Los Angeles Temple for Tiffany and Jared’s wedding. As you will see in the film, it was another absolutely beautiful day in Southern California. I left the 25 degree weather in Salt Lake at 6:50 in the morning and was enjoying the sunshine a few hours later when I stepped outside of LAX.

A very fun day, a fun bride and groom, and an awesome wedding date: 11-11-11.

Congrats Tiffany and Jared!

Lexi & Stephen Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

I filmed for Lexi’s sister Nikki last summer. This year, I had the wonderful privileged of being involved in another wedding for this really fun family. Both weddings were at the beautiful Newport Beach LDS Temple in sunny Southern California.

As you will see in this film, Lexi and Stephen had a blast during our pre-shoot and again on their wedding day. These two will go down in the history for their “rolling down the hill” scenes in this film. Awesome!!!

Lindsay & Bryan Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

Awesome Wedding, Awesome Bride, Awesome Groom! So much fun!!!

Lindsay wanted to have a carnival themed wedding, and apparently Bryan was up for it as well. Sure enough, we found ourselves in the middle of a carnival right there in their backyard in Valencia, California.

The thing that I may remember most of all about this wedding was the love that Lindsay and Bryan shared for each other during the ceremony. You’ll see some of their comments in this wedding film.

Cassie & Andrew Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

Cassie and Andrew were super fun to work with. From the time I helped with the engagement photos, I was excited for their wedding day to finally come.

I love the “rock-and-roll” type feel that this video has with some of the quick and fast video clips. And you’re going to absolutely LOVE Andrew’s dancing!!! Very fun!

Hannah & Danny Wedding Film – Nauvoo Temple from on Vimeo.

I went with my family to the Nauvoo Temple when it was dedicated in June of 2002. Nine years later, I found myself there again photographing and filming for Hannah and Danny.

Just a few minutes after leaving Chicago, Illinois, we were hit with one of the most powerful thunderstorms any of us westerners could ever imagine. But by the time we arrived in Nauvoo, we were in the midst of the most beautiful day I’ve ever had the privilege of working in.

Jennie & Eric Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

Over the past year I’ve filmed for two of Jennie’s friends from BYU, and had the privilege of filming for her as well. The song they chose fits along nicely with the love that they showed throughout the day at the San Diego Temple in beautiful Southern California.

I put this film together on the wedding day and had it ready to show at the reception later that night to their many guests at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Thanks to Jennie and Eric for being so fun to work with. Next stop, Nauvoo (tomorrow!)!

When Jason asked me several months ago if I was available to film for him on July 29th, I said “Absolutely. But it’s my birthday, so all I ask is that you provide the birthday cake.” And sure enough, but not surprisingly, there was cake!

In an earlier post, I mentioned my favorite part of making wedding films. Another of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer and videographer is the opportunity I have to meet, work with, and become friends with such wonderful people. Katie & Jason (and their families) absolutely fall into this category!

I’ve also had the pleasure of working with a lot of BYU fans on their wedding day, but Katie and Jason take the cake on this category! To get their large group to get a good cheer going on the front steps of the Temple, I had to shout out “pretend that BYU just won the National Championship!” No other cue was needed after that! Such an awesome family! I’m also glad that I had a special BYU prop in my trunk that came in handy for one of the clips in this film.

Thanks so much to this happy couple for an awesome two days of filming and photographing!

Oh ya, and GO COUGARS!!! 😀

I have been asked, “What is your favorite part about being a wedding videographer?” My answer is simple. The thing I love most about creating these wedding films is seeing the reaction of the brides and grooms of each couple when they see the video for the first time. I couldn’t help but notice the huge smiles on Karly’s and Dave’s face last night when we showed the video at the reception, which in turn brings a smile to mine. 🙂

It was an absolutely beautiful day in Southern California, and more specifically at the Newport Beach LDS Temple featuring a lovely bride, an excited groom, and two great families. They were all so amazing to work with!

Ashley & Garrett Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

Pay close attention to the beginning of this wedding video (hint: one of the photographs comes to life!). I’ve had fun implementing new ideas into my wedding videos.

Ashley and Garrett were fun to film with as we made it to all the nice spots on the grounds of the Los Angeles Temple.

Josh & Caitlin Wedding Film from on Vimeo.

The clouds left San Diego about 15 minutes before Josh and Caitlin walked out of the San Diego Temple as husband and wife. It became a beautiful day and I got to spend it with a good looking couple, which is apparent in this wedding video.

When we were done at the San Diego Temple, we went west to the Salk Institute and found the architecture there to be a pretty neat place to get some more great shots.

What do you get when you put these things together: A sunny day at the Oakland Temple, a good looking couple, a Canon 7D High Definition video camera, and a fun song? If you want the answer, watch Jeff and Lauren’s wedding video!

This was the first time in a long time that I’ve done some filming outside of Southern California, which I was very excited about. I was also excited about visiting the Oakland Temple for the first time in my life, and it was definately everything that I imagined it would be.

I don’t know if the weather in San Francisco typically allows for it, but we could see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Oakland Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, the San Francisco Skyline, and the Oakland Skyline, all from just outside the front door to the temple. It truly was amazing!

I put this video together to get you all excited about the full video which will be shown at Jeff and Lauren’s open house this weekend. We’ll have more video clips from the temple, and a full highlight video from the reception for your viewing pleasure.

It was a quick trip, but a good trip indeed. Hopefully it won’t be long until I’m back there in Northern California again! I still need to see the Sacramento Temple! 😉

Nikki wanted an up-beat and exciting wedding video, so I made sure that’s what she got. Fortunately, she told me tonight at the reception that it was her favorite wedding video!

This is my first High-Def video, and it’s also the first time I’ve been able to include a time-lapse scene in one of my videos.

The Newport Beach Temple has some of the most beautiful photography spots on the Temple grounds. This provided us with a lot of opportunities to get some really fun and unique video clips of Nikki and James.

The still photographs were taken by Paige and Blake Green. It was my pleasure to meet them and I think we were quite the team! Visit their blog by clicking here.

Best of luck to Nikki and James. They were so fun to work with!

Rob & Danica have been good friends of mine for several years. We were all so happy when Rob finally proposed! They got married on a beautiful day in Newport Beach at the Newport Beach Temple. My favorite parts of this wedding video are when they wave at the camera.

Congrats Rob and Danica!

I wanted to make this video a little bit more upbeat than some of my previous videos had been. I hope you like the intro! So far this is my most exciting beginning to one of my wedding videos as I show quick clips of the words on the Los Angeles Temple.

Luke and Ashley met each other in a dance class at BYU-Idaho, and you won’t have a hard time noticing that they have kept dancing. You should have seen their first dance at the reception! It was amazing!

This was the first video in which I was able to use my new GlideCam, and it certainly helped me get some really nice shots of the bride and groom.

I had a fun time filming Jonny and Stephanie. They were both so energetic and excited (you’ll see what I’m talking about when you watch!)! And of course it was another beautiful day in Southern California, especially at the Los Angeles Temple!

Mid-way through the day Stephanie’s dress got some black stuff on it, so Jonny tried to come to the rescue with his first act of service towards his new bride! Moments likes this are captured perfectly by a wedding video.

Beautiful Bride + Beautiful Groom = Beautiful Couple!

I loved working with Kelli and Kirk. This was the second wedding video I’d done for Kelli’s family at the Los Angeles Temple.

I had upgraded to a new Panasonic camcorder just the day before and I couldn’t have been happier with the new camera!
